The greatest gift I have ever received.

Have you ever received a gift that was absolutely priceless? For Christmas this year, I received a gift from my 9 year old grandson that is the most priceless gift ever. It was a gift that was filled with love, thought, memories and consideration. All of my life, I have received many great gifts, but this was the greatest. To begin with, two weeks before Christmas, I was visiting him, and he told me he had a special gift for me and that it was under their tree. He showed me the package and said he had even wrapped it by himself. The package was wrapped in blue wrapping paper with deer on it. On top of the package was a red bracelet that said "Jingle All The Way" and had bells on it. So for the next two weeks, whenever I visited him, I tried to get him to tell me what the gift was (at this point, his mom had no idea either because she said he had done it himself and she didn’t know what was in it). At one point, I shook the box to see if I could tell what it was, but I didn’t know anything more than the fact that it wouldn’t break. Christmas Eve (which we always celebrate with my parents) several presents were opened, but he told my I had to wait until Christmas Day to open my present. Finally, Christmas Day arrived and I got to open my much anticipated present. The present was greater than anything I could have imagined. On the outside of the box he had written "I Mamall". On the inside it said "Dear Mamall I love you more. Thank you for everything you do for me. Merry Christmas". The present only gets better. Inside were 3 pictures he had drawn with mesages written on them. Also inside were items that were his but he had decided to give to me. These items included a football pillow (he had made in school the previous year); one of his stuffed animals; a purple & a gold bead necklace (these are his school colors, and he had won them at a school carnival); a paper airplane (we used to make airplanes and fly them); a container of FLOAM; a Matchbox car; a ring; a seashell (he & I had found seashells on the beach during a vacation to Florida); a moon shaped necklace filled with sand (he had made); a cross from one of his favorite necklaces; a zebra; several basketball & football cards (one of the cards was a player w/my husband’s name (no my husband isn’t a famous player)). He had also made a similar box for his papall. Needless to say, this was one Christmas present that I will never forget, and one that is worth more than all the money in the world. It was given in the true meaning of Christmas, with love by a very special person, and to me contains the most priceless gift that could ever be given.
